As lockdowns increase furniture sales in the UK, SET-listed carpet and furniture maker TCM Corporation (TCMC) is focusing on the furniture business, acquiring furniture producers and plans to raise funds via the stock market in either the UK or US. Pimol Srivikorn, chairman of TCMC, said its furniture business in the UK has benefitted from the pandemic, with extremely strong sales of sofas and a backlog of orders in the pipeline since the second half last year. ....

WESTERN TREASURE VALLEY â COVID-19 case counts in Idaho remained low this week, with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare reporting only 120 confirmed cases on Thursday. In the departmentâs weekly summary report of cases in Idahoâs long-term care facilities on Friday, the increase over its April 30 report represents just 1.6% of Idahoâs 713 new cases for the week. The total case count in these facilities reached 9,533 across 319 facilities, up 12 over the week prior. In 18 of the 289 resolved outbreaks, only one case in a resident or staff member was reported. There remain 1,290 active COVID-19 cases in 30 facilities, but 178 facilities have reported a total of 793 related deaths. ....
City of McCall lifts mask mandate; COVID-19 cases still low, but Idaho adds 8 deaths Rachel Roberts, The Idaho Statesman May 8 The McCall City Council on Thursday lifted the mask mandate that was in effect inside city limits. The order was expected to expire May 26, but city leaders approved a series of four metrics to monitor the impact of COVID-19 in the area at an April 22 meeting. When three of the four metrics are met, the council can consider terminating the order. With three of the four metrics satisfied as of Thursday, the council chose to remove the mandate. The four mandates are: biweekly case rates remain in the green zone for four weeks; Valley County vaccine uptake for 16+ years of age reaches at least 65%; Valley County test positivity percentage remains below 5%; at least one dose of vaccine for 65+ across the Central District Health region reaches 75%. ....
