Christmas FM glory for The Ivy Sisters!

Even the celebrations were in perfect harmony on Monday morning as Wexford trio The Ivy Sisters were chosen as the official winners of this year s Aldi Christmas FM Song Contest 2020. Made up of Aileen Donohoe, Sharon Clancy and Jilly Cox, the group brought all of their glitz, glamour and dazzling pitch-perfect harmonies to their entry, Mele Kalikimaka , which is a Christmas tune with a Hawaiian twist, originally performed by Bing Crosby.
While the official launch of The Ivy Sisters has twice fallen victim to Covid-19 restrictions, the ladies are hopeful that seeing their Christmas song feature prominently on the Christmas FM play-list will be a nice platform for them to work from when things eventually do open up. ....

Mele Kalikimaka by Wexford based group The Ivy Sisters have been announced as the winners of The Aldi Christmas FM Song Contest for 2020.
Now in its thirteenth year, the song contest, on Ireland’s Christmas radio station, attracts hundreds of entries each year – vying to be crowned the winner by Christmas FM’s extensive national and international audience.
The Ivy Sisters are made up of three women living in Wexford Town, Aileen Donohoe, Jilly Cox and Sharon Clancy who formed in 2019.
Due to the pandemic, they were forced to delay their plans to launch on the live scene so winning the song contest has been a great way to end the year for them. ....

Tesco is also selling pot-grown Nordmanns for £20, and a cut Nordmann for £25 while Homebase has various different sizes ranging between £20-£80.
