From 5W to 55W TDP, Alder Lake mobile processors will allegedly feature up to 8x small cores, 8x big cores, and iGPUs with up to 96 EUs, allowing them to be used in a range of devices, including laptops and tablets. This particular leak comes from @9550pro. According to their information, the Alder Lake mobile line-up will consist of 19x SKUs split into 3 main “packages”: Alder Lake-M, Alder Lake-P, and Alder Lake-S. Alder Lake-M will be further split into M5, and U9 processors, Alder Lake-P into U15, U28, and H45 processors, while Alder Lake-S will only consist of the H55 processors. ....

The mobility CPU features more cores and threads than any existing notebook chip & also comes with some respectable clock speeds despite it being a very early engineering sample. Intel 12th Gen Alder Lake-P Mobility CPU Spotted With 14 Cores & 20 Threads, Up To 4.70 GHz Boost Clocks The Intel Alder Lake CPU spotted within the benchmark database is part of the Alder Lake-P lineup. The 12th Generation family will be split between the notebook Alder Lake-P and the desktop, Alder Lake-S lineups, both of which would be featuring a hybrid core architecture. The CPUs will feature both x86 Cove and Atom cores with the bigger cores running in SMT configuration & the smaller cores running without SMT. ....
Very weird, especially with two CPU launches in one year as well. watercooled I am eager to see how this goes, especially with launching so soon after Rocket Lake. On the other hand I m also curious how scheduling will work on Windows with asymmetric cores, particularly as I ve heard rumours the small/big cores won t necessarily have identical instruction capability? The Windows scheduler got a fairly major upgrade recently (again) to help with Ryzen and these Intel cpu s. Of course it s no good if you re back on pre-win 10 os s. I did recently help someone with a Win 7 Ryzen build and it s a big step down from Win 10 on a Ryzen and you can feel the scheduler and other things holding it back ....
