Much of Intel’s event will undoubtedly focus on the mobile versions of Alder Lake Alder Lake-P and Alder Lake-M which will likely go up against the Ryzen 6000 laptop.
Intel has now made the Alder Lake-H mobile processors official. The Intel Alder Lake-H lineup is led by the flagship Core i9-12900HK and is said to offer improved raw performance and better performance per watt compared to the Apple M1 Max and the Ryzen 9 5900HX. Intel also listed the SKUs available under the Alder Lake-P and Alder Lake-U families.
Officially, Nvidia will be talking about accelerated computing, design, simulations, autonomous machines, and, thankfully, gaming. The event starts at 8 am PT, two hours before Intel kicks.
An Alder Lake chip designated as the Intel Core i7-1260P has turned up on Geekbench in records for Lenovo and Samsung devices. It appears the 12-core, 16-thread i7-1260P comes with an unremarkable iGPU with 96 compute units. It’s likely that new Lenovo laptops featuring mobile processors from the Alder Lake series will appear in 2022.
