Brandon Scott Hole of Indianapolis fired a rifle minutes after 11 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot and inside the FedEx facility on the southeast side near Indianapolis International Airport, IMPD Deputy Police Chief Craig McCartt said in a late-afternoon news conference Friday. He did not know the type of rifle used in the shooting or whether Hole legally owned the weapon. ....

Coroner Alfie Ballew identified the victims Monday as Anthony Johnson, 35; Dequan Moore, 23; Eve Moore, 7; and Tomeeka Brown, 44, all of whom died from gunshot wounds. The loss of life is all the more heartwrenching by the knowledge that the suspect Malik Halfacre, 25, is a repeat offender whose rap sheet includes gun violence. In 2017, Malik Halfacre shot 23-year-old Ernest Tucker five times on the near northwest side. ....
Seven Murders This Weekend; Four People Killed Saturday Night ID’d INDIANAPOLIS–The four people shot and killed at a house on North Randolph St., Saturday night, have been ID’d by the Marion County coroner. Coroner Alfie Ballew said Monday morning that Anthony Johnson, 35; Dequan Moore, 23; Eve Moore, 7; and Tomeeka Brown, 44, all died from gunshot wounds. A man wanted for questioning in their deaths, Malik Halfacre, 25, was taken into custody Sunday after hiding in an attic for several hours. Indianapolis Metro Police Deputy Chief Craig McCart confirmed that Halfacre was the father of Malia Halfacre, the six-month-old girl who was taken from the home and later found safe. ....
One of Two Murdered Women ID’d, Police Ask for Help INDIANAPOLIS–Two women were shot and killed at an apartment complex near Post Rd. and 38th St., early Monday. One of those women was Ashanti Robinson, 21, said Marion County Coroner Alfie Ballew. The other woman’s identity is being withheld from the public until her family is notified. “Community is essential to us being able to identify perpetrators in these types of offenses and get these individuals off the streets,” said Lt. Shane Foley, with the Indianapolis Metro Police Dept. Police were called just after midnight. When they got to the Postbrook East Apartments at 40th and Cordell Street, they found the two women shot outside the apartments. ....
