Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security A local businessman who thought he could illegally dump nearly 2000 tyres without being caught was today fined $23,800 plus additional costs of almost $17,000. Paul Angelo McNally pleaded guilty in Darwin Local Court to polluting the environment which resulted in serious environmental harm as well as conducting an activity without an environment protection licence to do so. Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security (DEPWS) director of environmental operations, Peter Vasel, today welcomed McNally’s decision to plead guilty and subsequent fine issued by Local Court Judge Alan Woodcock. “Today’s outcome sends a very strong message that if you break the Territory’s strong environment laws you will be caught and face prosecution,” Mr Vasel said. ....

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, alleges that Allen Woodcock sexually harassed a female tenant in April 2019 after he entered her home to perform maintenance. According to the complaint, Allen Woodcock touched the tenant’s body without her consent and forcibly tried to kiss her, and the Woodcocks evicted the tenant after she reported the harassment to Heidi Woodcock. ....
OIL CITY A woman who lived in a rented house since late 2017 suddenly found herself facing eviction in the spring of 2019. The reason, according to the U.S. Department of Justice, was that the tenant had complained that her landlord had sexually harassed her by touching her without her consent and trying to kiss her. “You are out, the landlord s wife said in a text message to the tenant on April 28, 2019, according to the Justice Department. You got 10 days, other texts said. You are a liar.” That same day, the tenant got a notice to vacate, the Justice Department said. ....
