Destinations will be categorised as “green” (testing requirements, but no self-isolation), “amber” (testing and up to 10 days of self-isolation at home on return to the UK) and “red” (direct flights banned, returning Britons subject to 10 days quarantine in an approved hotel at a cost of up to £1,750). Only a handful of countries are expected to be included on the initial green list, which the Government is set to reveal on May 7. Industry analysis suggests Gibraltar, Malta, Israel and Iceland will feature. The inclusion of Portugal and the USA remains possible. ....
