Jamie Crompton: Tributes paid to special dad who died in Bolton crash

EMOTIONAL tributes have been paid to a ‘special dad’ from Bolton who died at the scene of a horrific two-car smash on Tuesday night. Jamie Crompton, 34, was driving a black Fiat 500 when he was involved in a collision at the junction of Long Causeway and Albert Road in Farnworth shortly before 11pm on May 25. The vehicle collided with a silver Vauxhall Insignia, according to police. The scene of the tragedy has since been filled with flowers and tributes. A card ‘in memory of a special Dad’ has been attached to railings at the scene of the crash, alongside pictures of Mr Crompton with loved ones.

Ronald A. McIntyre. We are greatly saddened to announce the death of Ronald A. McIntyre, also known as Dad, Ron, Ronnie, Gramps and Papa Mac. Ronald McIntyre was born on November 23, 1934 in Bangor, Maine, to Margaret McIntyre. Ron went on to live his whole life in Lincolnville, graduating from Camden High School in 1953. In Ron’s younger years, he was well-known for his love of baseball and threw a wicked curve ball. Later on in life, when playing ball was no longer possible, he enjoyed watching the Braves and the Red Sox. During Ron’s years in Lincolnville he was an involved member of the community, serving as a member of the Lincolnville Volunteer Fire Department and instrumental in the fundraising efforts and construction of the Lincolnville Community Building. Ron became a well-known builder in the Midcoast area building everything from chicken barns, to homes, to completing small home improvement projects.
