A case was filed against Hridoy in Hatirjheel police station on May 28. Anik Hasan alias Hero Anik, 25, a listed criminal in the Moghbazar area, Shahidul Islam Empul, 34, Abir Ahmed Rakib, 22, Shohagh Hossain Arif, 36 and Heera, 22 were arrested with bullets, one foreign-made pistol, one magazine, five sharp-edged weapons, 300 Yaba tablets, seven mobile phone sets, and 3,400 takas in cash. ....

Jamshedpur: Several pro-farmer outfits organized a 12-km tractor rally in a show of solidarity with farmers protesting along the Delhi borders against the three controversial farm laws. Organized under the banner of Kisan Andolankari Ekjutah Manch (KAEM), the rally with 24 tractors started from Aam Bagan ground in Sakchi and travelled through Sakchi Main Road and reached No. 9 bus stand, moving to the football ground in Mango before returning to Aam Bagan. Jharkhand Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (JGPC) member Shailendra Singh said the rally covered about 12km. He added that the district police initially did not give permission for the rally, but agreed when the outfit’s leaders revised the route and reduced the distance. The rally commenced at 11.30am and finished at 3pm. ....
Jamshedpur/Ranchi: With the government yet to allow coaching centres to operate in the state, owners of 35 private tuition centres sat on a protest at Aam Bagan in Sakchi area of Jamshedpur on Saturday. Although many sectors have been allowed to resume operations, coaching centres have remained locked since the nationwide lockdown was imposed in March last year. Agitating under the banner of Jamshedpur Coaching Sangh, the owners demanded private tuition centres to be allowed to reopen as “they are cash-strapped”.
