The Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition patch that ll bring us Dan, the new V-Shift mechanic and a plethora of balance changes is almost upon us. Capcom has recently released a lengthy list of patch notes that detail what has been changed, which you can view in .pdf format, or check out below.
Of course, the most notable universal change is the addition of the V-Shift, a new defensive mechanic that s activated by pressing heavy punch and medium kick at the same time. Although this requires a full bar of V-Gauge to activate, the player will be refunded half a bar if they successfully time the V-Shift against an opponent s attack.
