Gemini netball club returns for the youth of Andover

A netball club has been re-launched to give opportunities for local children following on from lockdown.
Gemini Netball Club has been founded by twins Chrissy Bannerman and Sharon Duffield, and coincides with the launch of England Netball’s Bee Netball.
The club is based at Andover Leisure Centre and are taking bookings for years three to seven children from September 2021.
Despite a delayed start and additional work behind the scenes due to Covid-19, Gemini held successful launch parties on October 14, which were “hugely popular” and the courts were “buzzing with excitement”.
Due to the third lockdown in January 2021, training stopped but the coaches continued to stay positive and provided free Zoom sessions and online challenges. ....

Five Test Valley council staff earn more than £100k a year

Revealed: The five Test Valley council bosses earning more than Â£100k a year
A TOTAL of five council employees took home £100,000 or more last year, it has been revealed.
The figures, published in the TaxPayers’ Alliance’s 14th Town Hall Rich List, analysed data from councils across the country.
The council has defended the high salaries of the five employees, stating they ‘recruit hard-working, dedicated staff ‘ who are paid at a ‘competitive’ rate.
Test Valley Borough Council’s chief executive, Roger Tetstall who has since been replaced by, Andrew Ferrier brought home the highest pay packet of £179,000.
This was made up of a salary of £150,000, a pension of £21,000 and expenses of £8,000. ....
