Man found sleeping, high on meth in vacant store bathroom: Mayfield Heights Police Blotter MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio Trespassing: SOM Center Road A man was remodeling inside the former Babies R’ Us building around 7 p.m. Feb. 9 when he found someone sleeping inside the bathroom. The suspect exited but was located by responding officers when trying to hide inside CVS. The Chagrin Falls man, 31, was found with syringes and said he had recently used meth at a friend’s nearby apartment. He said he was inside Aldi’s and began freaking out, so he exited through a common hall and found his way into the vacant building. He was charged with trespassing and drug abuse and taken to the hospital for treatment. ....
Woman says stolen purse contained $5,000 winning lotto ticket: South Euclid Police Blotter SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio Lost property: Cedar Road A woman reported Feb. 14 that she accidentally left her purse inside Panera but could not locate it when she returned for it. Besides several bank and Social Security cards, she said it contained a winning and unclaimed Ohio Lottery ticket worth $5,000. Officers advised her to contact lottery officials. The bank cards were cancelled without any unauthorized transactions. There were no cameras in the area that would have captured the incident. Domestic violence: Princeton Boulevard A domestic violence warrant was issued for the arrest of a 22-year-old man Feb. 10 after an incident involving his two adult sisters at their home. He was said to have thrown furniture and struck one of the women with a glass bottle. ....
Stolen vehicle recovered long way from Michigan home: Mayfield Village Police Blotter MAYFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio Recovered stolen vehicle: Beta Drive A stolen vehicle was located unoccupied and locked in the Hilton Garden Inn parking lot around 12:15 a.m. Jan. 31. It had been reported stolen out of a city in Michigan. Police from that jurisdiction and the owner of the vehicle were notified. The staff believed it had been in the parking lot for about a week. The vehicle was towed, and police are investigating the matter. Disturbance: Aintree Park Drive Officers responded to an apartment at 1:40 a.m. Feb. 1 for a report of a disturbance called in anonymously. They learned loud noises from the apartment came from the residents moving furniture in preparation of a move from the building. They were warned they could be cited for disturbing the peace if further complaints were received. ....
Woman makes threats after not receiving refund on security deposit: Richmond Heights Police Blotter RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio Menacing: Richmond Park Drive East Management at 444 Park apartments reported Dec. 11 that an employee was threatened by a woman who was upset she could not get a $200 deposit returned. They said she had been told that she was approved to move in November, but she said she did not get the email and decided she did want the apartment. Management said she threatened to harm an employee if she saw her in public because of the discrepancy. Officers contacted the woman and advised her that management wanted her banned from the property. ....
