Raina, other BJP leaders visit Gandhi Nagar Hospital

JAMMU, May 15: Ravinder Raina, J&K BJP president along with Mayor JMC, Chander Mohan Gupta and corporator, Rahul Kumar visited Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar and took stock of the facilities being provided to the patients.
The senior BJP leaders met with patients enquiring about the medical facilities being provided to them at the Gandhi Nagar Hospital. They assured them the best possible medical facilities in this hour of deep crisis.
Asserting that the Government is relentlessly working round the clock in defeating the ongoing second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, Raina appealed to the people of the Union Territory to wholeheartedly support the initiatives of the Government. He said the Government has already taken multiple initiatives to address the ongoing pandemic adding that several Government and private hospitals have been dedicated exclusively to treat the COVID positive patients. ....

Gurugram hospital where govt wants 500 beds can only admit up to 38 patients | Gurgaon News

GURUGRAM: SGT Hospital, which is supposed to become the largest Covid facility in Gurugram with the government last week announcing a ramp-up to 500 beds, is not even equipped to admit patients to its current capacity of 100.
The hospital is at present treating only 38 patients because it does not have enough oxygen or infrastructure to admit any more. Of the 100 beds it’s supposed to have, only 60 are operational. But since there is no oxygen support to go beyond 38 patients, the 22 other beds are lying unused at a time when hospitals are overwhelmed and Covid patients are waiting days but are still unable to get admissions. ....

JAMMU, Apr 20: Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Jammu has expressed strong resentment against the attitude of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for unnecessary harassing the shopkeepers in city on one pretext or other, especially when the region is confronting with second wave of lethal corona virus and business is already on the lowest ebb.
To strongly project the issue before the concerned authority, CCI delegation led by its president Arun Gupta visited JMC office here at Town Hall and met Commissioner of the civic body, Avny Lavasa in presence of Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta. ....

Jalandhar: Sanskriti KMV School opened the gates for its students welcoming them on a cheerful note. Students came to school in phased slots, scheduled grade wise. The voting percentage recorded remained low as compared to the last MC elections held in 2013 where the voter turnout had stood at 64.01 per cent. The polling across 275 booths remained peaceful with no cases of any disruption reported.
