July 26, 2021 LAHORE: The provincial Irrigation Department has developed an e-procurement system with the assistance of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). According to an announcement, the new system has the capacity for e-enlistment of contractors in respective categories, receipt of online bids, their evaluation and announcement of the successful/eligible bidder. For FY 2021-22, all contractors of the irrigation department will be required to enlist and bid for works under the new procurement system hosted on the official website. Minister for Irrigation Mohsin Khan Leghari inaugurated the new system while a training workshop for Executive Engineers and Contractors of Irrigation Department at Arfa Karim Tower was arranged in this connection. ....
