Rs55m sacrificial animals sold online

LAHORE: Sacrificial animals worth Rs55 million were sold through Bakar Mandi Online app developed by Punjab Information Technology Board in collaboration with Punjab Cattle Market Management and Development Company.
In the wake of the pandemic, online sale of sacrificial animals gained momentum across the province. Camels, goats, cows and other animals were bought and sold through this digital platform.
More than 14,000 people were registered with the app including 13,000 buyers and 1,000 cattle owners. Citizens were also able to browse details about animals such as breed, weight, etc. through pictorial information.
Students to get stipend through PITB software

LAHORE:Ombudsman Punjab Major (R) Azam Suleman Khan on Tuesday announced that all deserving students across Punjab will be paid educational scholarships under the government Khidmat Card policy through an integrated system which is being designed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).
This decision was finalised by the ombudsman while taking serious notice of a student, Lubna Habib, from Govt Girls Elementary School Chak No 199, District Bhakkar. The ombudsman office received so many other applications pertaining to this issue.

LAHORE: The provincial Irrigation Department has developed an e-procurement system with the assistance of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).
According to an announcement, the new system has the capacity for e-enlistment of contractors in respective categories, receipt of online bids, their evaluation and announcement of the successful/eligible bidder. For FY 2021-22, all contractors of the irrigation department will be required to enlist and bid for works under the new procurement system hosted on the official website.
Minister for Irrigation Mohsin Khan Leghari inaugurated the new system while a training workshop for Executive Engineers and Contractors of Irrigation Department at Arfa Karim Tower was arranged in this connection.
