From The Tribune staff reports TRUSSVILLE Trussville Downtown is hosting a special event for Mother’s Day weekend. Moms Day Out in Trussville Downtown will be held on Saturday, May 8. The event will be similar to the Cookie Walk. There is no charge to participate, but moms will receive a freebie, discount or promotion item from each participating location. “This event is designed to bring customers into Trussville Downtown to shop local this Mother’s Day while also celebrating all the mothers in our community,” said Katie Peoples Cox. The following merchants are participating: M.P. Dawson Mercantile – Register for a Mother’s Day Gift Basket drawing. Winner will be chosen on Monday.
