Narendra Nayak MANGALURU: The pandemic has promoted dissemination of “pseudo-science, non-science and bad science” among people, rationalist Narendra Nayak has said. He was speaking on ‘Scientific Temper in times of Covid-19’ a day-long event organised by 51AH Trust, Aid Without Religion trust, FIRA and St Aloysius College on Sunday. Nayak said the ministry of Ayush, yoga and homeopathy is fostering “pseudo-science” by promoting immunity pill which are touted to cure Covid-19 or prevent the infection. “It has not been scientifically proven that these herbal drops or tablets, which are touted as immunity boosters, can cure or prevent Covid-19 infections. This is pseudoscience,” Nayak said. “Pujas, cow urine, herbal teas and all sorts of decoctions come under non-science.
