New Delhi: Every year on February 28, the nation observes National Science Day to honour Nobel Laureate and great Indian Physicist Sir C V Raman.
The day has been observed since 1987 after National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC) asked the then government to declare February 28 as National Science Day.  It was on this day (February 28) when Dr C V Raman discovered the Raman Effect. For this achievement of his, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1930. ....
