SFA, Arabian Centres to turn malls into activity hubs RIYADH, 15 hours, 47 minutes ago The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) has signed an agreement with Arabian Centres Company, a developer of contemporary lifestyle centres in Saudi Arabia, to activate their malls and turn them into walking destinations for visitors. The signing ceremony took place at Al Nakheel Mall in Riyadh, attended by SFA President, HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud and the SFA Managing Director, Shaima Saleh Al-Husseini; alongside Arabian Centres CEO Faisal Abdullah Al Jedaie and the working teams from both entities. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) will see the SFA host a program of walking events and campaigns at Arabian Centres malls across Saudi Arabia, helping turn the shopping venues into hubs of health and wellbeing for the 109 million annual visitors the malls attract every year.

Saudi Arabia s Alhokair signs new deals with Danish and US companies to expand its retail portfolio

SHARE Saudi Arabia’s listed retailer Fawaz Abdulaziz Alhokair Group signed two separate franchise agreements with the US and Danish companies to expand its retail portfolio. The deals are with Danish retailer Flying Tiger Copenhagen and US-based yoga and athleisure brand Alo Yoga, the company said in a statement to the Tadawul stock exchange, where its shares trade. Flying Tiger Copenhagen is a variety store retailer known for selling a range of products including toys, accessories, stationery and gadgets, while Los Angles-based Alo Yoga sells exercise and yoga-related clothes. “As the largest retail market in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia is a gateway to the region and an enthusiastic adopter of innovative trends and products,” Marwan Moukarzel, chief executive of Fawaz Abdulaziz Alhokair said on Monday.

Arabian Centres awards contract to build new mall in Saudi Arabia RIYADH, 3 hours, 55 minutes ago Arabian Centres Company, a leading owner, developer and operator of lifestyle shopping centres in Saudi Arabia, has awarded a SR257.3 million ($68.5 million) contract to Lynx Contracting Company for the construction of a new shopping centre in Madinah.   The project, Madina Walk, will be the second addition to ACC s portfolio of shopping centres in the city, and is set to add about 57,000 sq m to its gross leasable areas (GLA), said ACC in its filing to the Saudi bourse Tadawul.   The retail pioneer said in addition to the construction and development of the commercial centre,  Lynx Contracting will be responsible for site preparation, excavation, backfilling and land leveling works.
