Figueroa appointed to Yuma County position focusing on economic prosperity for region

Yuma, Arizona - Yuma County Administrator Susan Thorpe has announced the appointment of Julio (Alejandro) Figueroa as the County’s Economic Development and Intergovernmental Affairs Director. This position is responsible for planning, organizing and directing economic development activities to include attracting new industry, business and investments to Yuma County.
The job also entails proposing and tracking local, state and federal legislative initiatives to benefit the County.
“I am excited that Alejandro has joined our team and will bring his extensive public and private sector expertise to our organization,” said County Administrator Susan Thorpe. ....

Gov. Doug Ducey and Arizona Department of Health Services Director Dr. Cara Christ have a lot of fine print for the county to agree to before FEMA and the county can set up vaccination clinics for low-income and minority residents.

Arizona's Department Of Homeland Security Gets New Director

Gov. Doug Ducey this week promoted Tim Roemer to become the director of Arizona’s Department of Homeland Security.
He’s got a long history in Arizona government especially in the cybersecurity and homeland security sectors and joined Ducey’s administration early in the governor’s first term.
The Show spoke with Roemer about his new gig and his background, which includes work in the CIA.
