Police investigating stabbing in senior center parking lot

ROYAL OAK Police are investigating after a stabbing took place July 27 in the parking lot of the Leo Mahany/Harold Meininger Senior Community Center, 3500 Marais Ave., near 13 Mile and Crooks roads.
The incident took place around 2 p.m., and the victim of the stabbing reported the incident to police, according to Lt. Al Carter, of the Royal Oak Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
Carter said, based on statements made to police by the victims, two young men met with another pair of young men in the parking lot of the senior center on the premise of exchanging money for marijuana.

Expensive French bulldog stolen from home

ROYAL OAK At approximately 6:21 p.m. May 13, a French bulldog named Little Racks was stolen from the 100 block of Mason Court, near 11 Mile Road and Main Street.
Police said Little Racks was in the backyard when a black Dodge Caravan pulled onto the street. A man exited the vehicle and walked onto the property of the dog’s owner, Caron Williams, carried the dog back to the vehicle, and immediately left the area.
