Representative image MANGALURU: There is a gradual rise in the number of people participating in the Covid vaccination drive in Dakshina Kannada district. After recording a low turnout initially, 62.08% of people were vaccinated on Wednesday. On Tuesday, vaccination coverage was 58%. RCH officer Dr BV Rajesh told TOI that 681 people were vaccinated in the district on Wednesday as against a target of 1,097, registering 62.08%. Vaccination was carried out in 12 sites, including six PHCs, Puttur government hospital and four private hospitals. At Father Muller Medical College Hospital 100 people received the shot, while at Adarsha Hospital, Puttur, 94 out of 100, AJ Hospital, 80 out of 100 and at Aladangady PHC 64 out of 75 were vaccinated, he said.
