The arrested, Mohammed Ali and Abdul Rasheed, are being interrogated, the police said. It is reported that Abdul Rasheed leaked information about the hawala money deal to the gang of robbers. Both the accused got ₹5 lakh each as reward, they told the police. The police found that they made money deals worth ₹45 lakh after the robbery. ....
17 more die from corona in Faisalabad National FAISALABAD: Some 17 more COVID-19 patients died in Faisalabad on Wednesday. According to a spokesperson for the health department, the COVID-19 death toll rose to 833 in the district and 256 people tested positive for coronavirus during the last 24 hours. He said 1,672 people were tested for coronavirus and 14,630 had recovered from the disease in Faisalabad. He said 305 beds were allocated at the Allied Hospital, 106 at the DHQ hospital and 150 at General Hospital Ghulam Muhammadabad for COVID-19 patients. At present, 263 patients, including 173 confirmed ones, were under treatment at the Allied Hospital, while 111, including 23 confirmed admitted to DHQ hospital, and 87, including 46 confirmed were admitted to General Hospital Ghulam Muhammdabad. Moreover 1,472 coronavirus have quarantined themselves at homes. ....

Officials told Dawn that directives had been issued to mosques and imambargahs from the Auqaf Directorate. The directives say 20-point SOPs should be implemented, especially during Taraweeh. Arrangements should be made in mosques and imambargahs in a way that there is sufficient distance between worshipers. In this regard, markings should be made at an appropriate distance. ....
Three of a family electrocuted Lahore April 27, 2021 LAHORE:A man and his two children were electrocuted in Ravi Road area here on Monday. In a bid to save each other, they lost their lives. A child, Gohar Ali, 8, went upstairs to bring clothes put at a rooftop for drying. He used an electric rod to take the clothes where they were hanging, but it touched high tension wires passing near the rooftop. A police officer said that it is also possible that the rod might not have touched but the minor might have received an electric shock because of electro-magnetic field of the high tension wires. ....

Right above its entrance, painted in brown, there is the first word of the Quran ‘Iqra’ (read). Inside the cool green interiors of the air-conditioned classroom there are some 36 prisoners doing that exactly. They are all a part of the Criminon rehabilitation programme organised here by the Society for the Advancement of Health, Education and Environment (SAHEE). The NGO, started by Saleem Aziz Khan in 2007, runs two classes on the jail premises – there is also another class just like this one in another, more sensitive part of the jail, with around 20 students. ....
