The 2021 NFL draft is now only three weeks away. Each week leading up to the draft, we are going to dive into an NFL draft class starting with the Steelers 2004 NFL draft. In doing so, each player selected by the Steelers will be highlighted as to how their NFL career, or lack thereof, took shape. As we get to more recent years, some will be combined as many of those draft choices are still with the Steelers.
Part 12 of 15 will highlight the Steelers 2015 NFL draft, where after five seasons no players remain on the Steelers roster. ....

David Lane named General Manager of Business Operations for Birmingham G-League Franchise

NEW ORLEANS & BIRMINGHAM – The New Orleans Pelicans today announced that David Lane has been named the General Manager of Business Operations for the franchise’s NBA G League affiliate, which is set to begin play in Birmingham, Alabama at Legacy Arena beginning in the 2021-22 season.
With over 20 years of experience in minor league baseball, Lane joins the Pelicans organization after spending the last 14 years within the Houston Astros organization, most recently serving as the General Manager of the Fayetteville Woodpeckers (Single-A), where he oversaw the launch of the franchise, and before that serving as the General Manager of the Greeneville Astros (Rookie League). While with Greeneville, Lane won consecutive Appalachian League Executive of the Year honors in 2009 and 2010, and received the Appalachian League’s Promotional Award of Excellence in 2007, 2008 and 2009. ....

IN SEPTEMBER 2017, 23-year-old Younghoe Koo was living the life he dreamed up for himself way back in middle school. A few months after graduating from Georgia Southern as a first-team all-conference kicker, Koo signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent. He beat out the incumbent, Josh Lambo, in training camp and was about to become the fourth player born in South Korea in NFL history. On the day he made the Chargers roster, he became a social media sensation after a clip of him doing a backflip and kicking a field goal went viral (it has now tallied more than 2.3 million views and 8,400 retweets). ....
