Target killers gun down three in Panjgur, Kech Sources familiar with the matter said two persons were gunned down in a drive-by shooting QUETTA: At least three people were killed in separate firing incidents in Balochistan’s Panjgur and Kech district on Monday. Sources familiar with the matter said two persons were gunned down in a drive-by shooting when unidentified armed motorists opened fire on a vehicle near Chitkan bypass area of Panjgur town. According to police, the deceased persons were identified as Khan Jan and Amir Bux. The assailants managed to escape successfully after committing the crime. The bodies of the deceased persons were shifted to Panjgur District Headquarter Hospital and later handed over to heirs after completion of medico legal formalities. ....
QUETTA: Three people were shot dead in two incidents in Kech and Panjgur districts on Monday. Police said unidentified men riding a motorcycle opened fire on a car in the Chiltan bypass area of Panjgur town. Two men travelling in the car received multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot. The bodies were shifted to the district hospital for autopsy. They were handed over to heirs after completion of medico-legal formalities. The deceased were identified as Khan Jan and Ali. Khan Jan was kidnapped in 2017 and he was released last year. Khan Jan was an elder brother of Balochi language poet Fazal Sher. ....
PESHAWAR: The provincial government has asked the University of Peshawar (UoP) to utilise its assets, including Bara Gali campus, for raising funds for academic and other activities on the campus. In this regard, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra held a meeting with UoP Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Idrees at Bara Gali Summer Campus the other day, according to a press release. “Bara Gali campus and other assets can be used to do away with the financial crisis at the varsity. The government will keep assisting the UoP as part of its strategy to promote education,” the minister said. ....

Around 1,500 Muslims on Wednesday descended on the temple which was destroyed in similar circumstances in 1997 after staging a protest against renovations at an adjoining building owned by Hindus. The temple is located in a remote village in Karak district, some 160 kilometres (100 miles) southeast of Peshawar. ....
