Vanalika. Photo: Jamie House Frisco artist Vanalika first discovered her joy for singing and performing while part of her pre-school choir. Now 19, the Indian-born singer/songwriter draws from her background in classical Indian music, American pop, and musical theater to create her own brand of Indie R&B. She uses both her cultural perspective and her viewpoint as a world traveler to influence her sound. She says that being vulnerable in her songwriting is exciting. “That’s the fun part of songwriting,” Vanalika said. “It’s the fact that you get to put your story out there and see what other people get from that.” ....

Consistently, their memorials have been taken down by county staff. You may not be all that surprised to see Austin (No. 4) and Dallas (No. 11) high on the list of cities that attract the most millennials, but would you have thought that Frisco would come in at a pretty shocking No. 6? Us neither. Oops. I mean, we’re not surprised in the slightest. The survey, published by SmartAsset, relied on data from 2019. That year, 4,006 millennials moved to Frisco, while only 490 moved out and went elsewhere. Altogether, the city gained more than 3,500 millennials. The study defined millennials as those aged between 25 and 39 years. ....
