PYO sunflowers at Swansea farm
SWANSEA The 100 Acre Farm in Swansea will host its first-ever sunflower picking event this weekend.
For $1 a flower, you can pick your own at the family owned and operated farm located at 253 Cummings Road. The family-friendly event will take place Saturday and Sunday, July 31 and Aug 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

FITCHBURG The Laurelwood Garden Club, at its Annual Meeting held June 11 in the courtyard at the Fitchburg Art Museum, elected the following officers for the 2021-22 year: Kathryn Nowosielski of Leominster, president; Deb Vilandry, vice president, of Lancaster; Lucille Cormier of Fitchburg as secretary; Tisha Schiavitti of Leominster as treasurer; Claire Lavin of Ashby as assistant treasurer, and Mary Ed Caine of Leominster, corresponding secretary.
Annual reports were given by Kathleen McGuigan for Scholarship, Jessie Olson for 2021 Art in Bloom, Tisha Schiavitti for Treasurer, Julie Palioca for Public Relations/Publicity, Beautification/Julia Casey Memorial Garden, and Mary Dunn and Doris Durrin for Nominations and Elections.
