FITCHBURG Members of the Laurelwood Garden Club, in partnership with the Fitchburg Art Museum, will be showing their floral designs at the 23rd Art in Bloom, to be held Friday, May 14 through Sunday, May 16.
Artworks from the museum’s collection, Eleanor Norcross Gallery and the African Gallery, and artwork in the current exhibits, The Big Picture and Cloth is Money, will be selected by interpreters to design unique arrangements so the viewers can focus on the way the artwork was interpreted. This year, it will include Tablescapes set up in the Ansin Gallery and the Eleanor Norcross Gallery.

The Boston-based Argentinian artist is the brains behind âWe Heal,â a project that encouraged local cancer patients â many of whom are immigrants â to answer two questions: What images, words, people, and foods bring comfort? And what inspires and brings hope?

IC Federal Credit Union in Fitchburg has named Chris Hendry, former senior director of external affairs for UMass Memorial Health Alliance-Clinton, as its new president and CEO, the credit union’s board of directors announced Tuesday.
Hendry has served on IC’s board of directors and supervisory committee since 2014, according to the announcement.
Hendry, who holds an MBA from Fitchburg State University, has served on a variety of local boards, including Fitchburg nonprofits NewVue Communities, Arc of Opportunity and the Fitchburg Art Museum.
Outgoing interim president and CEO Philip Richards, who came out of retirement after previous CEO and president Tony Emerson gave the credit union notice of his departure, will stay on temporarily to ease the leadership transition.
