Fargo Police Make Early Morning Arrest After Citizen Calls in Suspicious Activity


(Fargo, ND) Fargo Police took a man into custody after it was found he broke into several cars Monday morning.
Officers received an original report of a possible car prowler, in the 3200 block of 17 Ave. S,. The complainant stated their car alarm was going off but was unable to provide any information about a possible suspect.
Authorities then responded to the area and searched for suspicious activity. A little less than an hour later, a supervisor was checking garages in the area and located 35-year-old Kenneth Parker, of Casselton, rummaging around in a garage that was not his. Officers were able to determine Parker had also unlawfully entered at least two motor vehicles. Parker was arrested for two counts of Unlawful Entry into a Motor Vehicle and one count of Burglary. ....

Fargo PD Responds to Faked 9-1-1 Call


(Fargo, ND) Fargo Police warning the community about prank phone calls after and incident Friday afternoon.
Officers responded to a call for service at a residence in the 6800 block of 24 Street South around 1 p.m after an individual called dispatch and reported they accidently shot their sister and hung up the phone. Upon officers arrival, they were able to determine the caller was not associated with the address and no one had been injured or was in any trouble at the reported residence.
Unfortunately, false calls for service like this one are not uncommon, said Fargo Police Public Information Officer Jessica Schindeldecker via a statement released to WDAY Radio.  However, all calls for service like this are taken seriously and fully investigated. ....

Southpointe Business Park Fire Case Forwarded to Juvenile Court


(Fargo, ND) Some clarity on who exactly started the South Fargo strip mall fire that ravaged multiple businesses back in May.
Fargo Police Detectives have conducted a thorough and detailed investigation regarding a fire that was started at Southpointe Business Park on May 11th, 2021, said Fargo Police Public Information Officer Jessica Schindeldecker in a statement released to WDAY Radio. A juvenile has been identified as a person of interest. The case has been forwarded to Juvenile Court for review.
The fire caused well over $1.25 million in damages, and leveled Gigi s Playhouse, which was the only Down Syndrome Achievement Center in North Dakota. ....
