Updated: 7:49 PM EDT May 3, 2021 Everett police are attempting to identify a man who is suspected of committing numerous acts of vandalism in the city, including at a local church.Last Wednesday, leaders at Zion Baptist Ministries announced that a 7-foot cross that was in front of the church was pulled out of the ground and thrown down the street.“It’s unfortunate there are hate crimes happening because of one’s religion, one’s faith. But if we work together as a community, let’s just start crying out, stop the hate,” said Zion Church Ministries Bishop Robert G. Brown.Everett Mayor Carlo DeMaria called the act of vandalism at Zion Baptist Ministries a hate crime.“As mayor, I’m repulsed and distraught that someone would intentionally vandalize a religious organization in our community.
