Srinagar-Jammu Highway: Traffic Advisory For Commuters

According to advisory no vehicle including live stock/fresh perishable shall be allowed in the opposite direction.
“TCU Srinagar shall liaise with TCU Ramban before releasing the traffic,” said the advisory.
“The weight bearing capacity of installed bailey bridge is less than 40 metric ton,” it added.
“LMVs will have to cross Zig Qazigund from 08:00 am to 12:00 pm and no vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing,” it said
It said that heavy motor vehicles shall be allowed Zig (Qazigund) towards Jammu after light motor vehicles.
“Government Forces are advised/requested not to ply against advisory/traffic plan in view of traffic congestion on Jammu-Srinagar NHW and narrowness of Bailey bridge. They may ply from Srinagar towards Jammu after confirming the status of highway,” it added. ....
