They needed to do this week over the weekend and they decided they would carefully check the calendar and picked out these dates thinking it would have the least effect on people that would normally use the bridge. What did they do . General maintenance to the bridge but at the same time they used the large pieces of the surface to work on the bridge. It caused traffic issues on may 8th, 9th and 10th but especially at the bay bridge.
