Lubbock police on Friday were investigating the death of a 78-year-old man whose body was found in north Lubbock nearly a week after he was reported missing. Police officials confirmed on Friday that a body found in the 3800 block of Clovis Road was that of Ysabel Flores. Flores was last seen about 9 a.m. Dec. 12 at his residence in the 3100 block of Auburn Street. According to a Dec. 15 Lubbock police news release, Flores, who was considered endangered for medical reasons, frequented the bingo hall in the 3800 block of Clovis Road. His cause of death and circumstances about how he was found were not immediately clear as the investigation continues and an autopsy is pending. ....

The Lubbock Police Department is searching for Ysabel Flores, 78, who was last seen at his residence in the 3100 block of Auburn Street at approximately 9 a.m. Saturday. Flores is described as a Hispanic male with gray hair and brown eyes, 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 125 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, khaki pants and black shoes. He is known to frequent the bingo hall on Clovis Rd., Amigos on North University and the Acacia Mobile Home Park. Investigators consider him in danger because of medical conditions.
