California is under a state of emergency this morning as vast swaths of the state are consumed by deadly wildfires. More than a dozen blazes have swept through killing at least ten people and injuring more than 100 others. The danger is statewide burning from the Los Angeles Area all the way up to wine country in the north. There the fires have destroyed 1500 homes and businesses forcing tens of thousands of people to flee and leaving more than 100,000 without power. Threatened by these massive wildfires at least two hospitals had to evacuate their patients, transferring them safely to other facilities. And the california Highway Patrol took to the skies conducting helicopter rescues, saving at least 44 people from the flames.
