47abc February 5, 2021 POCOMOKE, Md. – Worcester Goes Purple is continuing their shoe drive fundraiser and they’re holding a collection on Saturday in Pocomoke. 47abc January 1, 2021 WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. – Worcester Goes Purple is holding a shoe drive fundraiser during January and February. The funds will be used to help pay for addiction recovery efforts in Worcester and Wicomico Counties. New and gently used men’s, women’s, and children’s shoes of all kinds are being accepted. Worcester Goes Purple will raise money based on the total weight of pairs collected. All donated shoes will then be redistributed through Funds2Orgs, a network of small business partners in developing countries. “We know that most people have extra shoes in their closets they would like to donate to us. By doing so, we raise money for those struggling with the disease of addiction, and we have the chance to help families in developing nations who need economic opportunities. It’s a win-win for everyone,” said Debbie Smullen with Worcester Goes Purple. ....
