a deadly wreck overnight a car slams into a truck that had stopped on the grand central parkway. today in new york s tracie strahan just arrived at the scene. be reporter: we re just getting official details from the nypd about exactly what has traffic stopped here on the grand central heading eastbound. this involved a box truck that remains on the right shoulder where it was when a 2014 hyundai elantra plowed into it just before 3:00 this morning. i want to show you video now of the scene that has things blocked off in this area right after the rfk bridge. two men who were inside that hyundai hyundai elantra were killed as a result of what happened here. they were pronounced dead at the scene. as for the driver of that box truck that for some reason was parked on the shoulder of the road when it was hit, he s at elmhurst hospital in stable condition. no word yet as to why he was parked on the shoulder. again, this is an accident that has the eastbound grand central right
