Share Updated: 7:17 PM CDT Jul 7, 2021 WVTM 13 Digital The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says it investigated 10 roadway fatalities over the Fourth of July weekend.Between 12:01 a.m. Friday and 11:59 p.m. Monday, Highway Patrol Division troopers investigated fatal crashes in the following counties: Chilton, Clarke, Lawrence, Marengo, Pickens, Talladega, Tuscaloosa and Winston.State troopers said out of the 10 people killed in those crashes, only five of them were utilizing seat belts. In efforts to promote national and regional safety campaigns such as Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Operation Dry Water, ALEA reported 81 Driving Under the Influence arrests and 10 Boating Under the Influence arrests during the holiday weekend.“As more
