In the First Period, Maryland leading 2-1. Make that 3-1 with the Grady Freidmand Goal. This game was very physical. With less than two minutes to play in the First, Conor Cole notches another Goal for Maryland. The lead 4-1 headed into the Intermission.
But the Tomahawks came out fresh in the Second Period. Will Margel long pass to Reed Stark and the Hawks score on the Power Play less than two minutes into the 2nd. Fans got back on their feet when the fan favorite Jay Ahearn found the back of the net to make it a one goal game. ....

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) has announced its monthly player awards for the month of March.  The Bauer Hockey NAHL Forward of the Month is
Will Margel from the Johnstown Tomahawks.  The Bauer Hockey NAHL Defenseman of the Month is
Grant Docter from the Minnesota Wilderness.  The Vaughn NAHL Goaltender of the Month is
Jake Sibell from the Aberdeen Wings.
Only players who are nominated by their respective teams are considered for the NAHL monthly awards.
