WhatsApp new privacy policy will go live after May 15 as the deadline to accept the new terms is set for today. Users who don’t accept the new ToS today will still be able to use the app.
WhatsApp to limit the features for accounts that don t accept the privacy policy:- Top communication platform WhatsApp has extended the deadline to accept the privacy policy of the users until May 15th. All the users who will not accept the new changes will have to lose their access for their account. WhatsApp decided not to deactivate the accounts but they will limit the features. WhatsApp will send the reminders for the users as per the new privacy policy. One of the spokespersons revealed that the users who are not in a mood to accept the new policy will have limited account functionality .

The Supreme Court on Monday issued notice to Facebook and WhatsApp and sought their response on a plea challenging WhatsApp s latest privacy policy which was introduced in January this year in India. A Bench headed by Chief Justice of India SA Bobde observed that people s privacy must be protected in view of the allegation that users data was being shared with other companies. There is a concern that circuit of messages is revealed by WhatsApp, the apex court observed.
The Bench further said that citizens have great apprehension about loss of their privacy and they think that their data and chats being shared with others and it has to be looked into.

The Delhi High Court on Monday said accepting the new privacy policy of social messaging app WhatsApp was a voluntary thing and one can choose not to use or join that platform if one did not agree with its terms and conditions. It is a private app. Don t join it. It is a voluntary thing, don t accept it. Use some other app, Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva said to the petitioner, a lawyer, who has challenged WhatsApp s new privacy policy which was slated to come into effect in February but has been deferred till May.
