Yep.the Haunted Michigan sites continue on.
This one is the former Robert J. Whaley house at 624 E. Kearsley in Flint, now used as the Whaley House Museum.
Mr. Whaley (1840-1922) was instrumental in the genesis of General Motors. In 1886, when he was the president of Citizen s Bank, he floated a loan to the Flint Road Cart Company, which led to GM.
A year earlier, he and his family moved to Flint and occupied this grand Victorian house at (what is now) the corner of E. Kearsley & Chavez Drive.

Re “For-profit operator picked for historic site” (Jan. 6): What no one tells you about museums is that they all lose money because they don’t have enough customers to pay their bills. They need to be subsidized by volunteers who work for free, donations big and small, and lots of taxpayer money. Even our very popular zoo needs subsidies.
The county and state have spent millions of dollars fixing up the Whaley House Museum complex over the years and the county still loses money on it. If operation by the Old Town Trolley Tours can increase the number of customers who pay to see it, the county will lose less money. ....
