The following are excerpts from the Westwood Police Department from Dec. 18-23. The logs are public record.
Friday, Dec. 18
12:05 p.m.: Police received a request for the DPW to clear snow off traffic lights at University Avenue. At 12:28 p.m., police received another request for snow clearance.
2:01 p.m. A resident of Washington Street reported that multiple items were missing from their vehicle, including eyeglasses, CDs and personal papers. The resident had brought the vehicle to a repair shop on two separate occasions, and both times items were taken. A video review noted the same technician worked on the vehicle on both occasions. Although inconclusive as to whether that employee took the items, that employee has since been terminated.
