A Grand Prairie church had to postpone it’s weekly food distribution event last week, not because of winter weather storms, but because all 48 pallets of food were stolen.
Comforter Christian Center holds a food distribution events every Thursday, rain or shine. The food for the distribution sits outside next to the church building, where it’s usually safe, pastor Julius Bamibe said.
Irving’s newest trail will connect downtown to Campion Trail and eventually link to Dallas
Phase 1 of the project is now open to the public, with construction work on Phase 2 scheduled to begin this fall.

A new trail in Irving will connect the city’s downtown to Campion Trail, the 22-mile greenbelt along Elm and West forks of the Trinity River.
The first phase of the project, called the Delaware Creek Trail Connector, is now complete, and construction on the second portion is scheduled to begin this fall.
