A handful of schools in Mesquite were damaged in last week’s winter storm.
But only one school in the district the Learning Center sustained enough damage that it cannot yet reopen, with broken pipes having caused extensive flooding.
Three other campuses Austin Elementary, Gentry Elementary and Mesquite High School sustained some damage but not enough to require closure, a district spokeswoman said.
It s about much more than who had power in the storm Dallas must fix long-standing inequities
