BJP West Bengal President Dilip Ghosh has been banned from campaigning for 24 hours by the Election Commission for making highly provocative remarks .

Kolkata: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday imposed a 24-hour ban on West Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh for violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), prohibiting him from campaigning from 7 pm on April 15 to 7 pm on April 16.
In its order, the Election Commission said after assessing Dilip Ghosh s reply to its notice, it is of the considered view that he violated the Model Code of Conduct by making highly provocative and inciteful remarks in his election speeches. ....

Mr. Ghosh conceded that the saffron party needs people from other political outfits to come to power in the state, after which it will put an end to the practice.
West Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh on Saturday said that the party has to fulfil its long- cherished mission of winning the state not only to expand its ideological footprint but also to secure India’s eastern borders, which have turned into a “transit point for terror elements” trying to create unrest in the country.
