Panthers sweep Fredericksburg in bi-district playoffs, give Cavazos 100th career win (Geronimo) – Navarro gave head baseball coach Kris Cavazos his 100th career win with a 3-1 road triumph over Fredericksburg on Friday in the first game of their 4A bi-district playoff series, and the Panthers completed the 2-0 sweep with a 4-1 home win on Saturday in Geromino. The Panthers took a 2-0 lead in the first inning of Game 1 when Tristan Brashears singled in Sam Muniga and Jaxen Monkerud drove in Reece Rojas with a groundout. Aden Supak scored Kaden Monkerud’s courtesy runner Hunter Monroe with a two-out RBI single to make it 3-0 in the top of the fourth, and the Battlin’ Billies scored their only run on an error in the bottom half of the frame. ....

This is the second year of the scholarship that has been endowed by Larry Feldcamp, the husband of the late Elaine Dahse Feldcamp, endowed this scholarship in 2020 and will be managed by Trinity Church in New Bielau. Elaine Dahse was born and raised in Weimar and is a graduate of Weimar High School. She graduated as the Valedictorian of the class of 1955. She graduated from the University of Texas, with High Honors and went on to teach English at Texas City High School. She married Larry Feldcamp in 1964. Larry practiced law in Houston with the Law firm of Baker & Botts until 2000, when they retired in Bellingham, WA. ....
