Rescues continued to be made by the task force teams. the first focus was the barrier islands, sanibel, fort myers beach. a lot of those people decided to stay during the storm. as for the fatalities, the medical examiner said it was storm surge and drowning that killed them. a lot of people i spoke with actually stayed here and wrote it out. not sure they should ve done it but they certainly have a newfound respect for the power of a storm surge. getting power to people is obviously a very huge issue. here in lee county, the hurricane, category four en left 95% of households in the black. down to 75% now. progress is being made. thousands, tens of thousands of utility crews from in and out of state that are on the scene in the sunshine state which, in the days after the hurricane, very hot and very sunny making it ....
