Subsequent enquiries have revealed details of the upgraded standards implemented at the facility, located near to Waylands Kia and Marshall Honda, off the A33 in Reading. A Ford spokesperson told AM that the purpose of Signature was to keep the brand’s showrooms fresh and up-to-date, integrating digital marketing via Discover Ford and Service screens. He added: “The digitally connected purpose is reinforced in new purchase rooms, where customers can talk in privacy with sales advisors and spec vehicles on-screen in the rooms. ....
Click the thumbs up > Waylands has followed-up its recent expansion with Kia with an appointment to represent the Volvo Car UK franchise from a newly-built showroom in Bristol. The new agreement will take the AM Awards 2020’s Best Dealer Group up to 10 sites to six franchised locations in total, five of which (Newbury, Oxford, Reading and Swindon) are with the Swedish premium car brand. Trading from Waylands’ new Bristol franchise will commence in mid-August with the completion of the 17,000sq-ft Volvo Retail Environment (VRE) dealership at the former Rolls-Royce Works in Filton. Waylands chief executive, John O’Hanlon, who featured in an AM dealer profile in September 2019, said: “We are excited about this opportunity. It fits perfectly with our other Volvo representation and cements further our already strong relationship with the brand. ....

The Thames Valley-based car retail group, which was had operated exclusively with Volvo Car UK at locations in Reading, Oxford, Swindon and Newbury, has officially moved into the facility and is now preparing apply new Waylands Kia signage. Waylands former Evans Halshaw Kia business is located off just off the A33, to the south of Reading town centre.
