Ashford is to get its fourth KFC outlet - despite claims the new restaurant is exactly what the town doesn t need .
The fast-food chain has been given the green light for a new unit on Waterbrook Park in Sevington, just off the A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road.
The site will offer both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a drive-thru service
But residents fear the area will become blighted by rubbish as a result of the development - with one saying it has only added to her desire to move away from the town. ....

A giant warehouse linked to distribution giant Amazon has been approved for a site in Ashford.
Work can now begin on the 18.5-acre plot on Waterbrook Park following the decision at last night s Ashford Borough Council meeting.
How the huge storage and distribution facility could look on Waterbrook Park
Construction work on the GSE Group-led project is anticipated to begin in April, with completion expected in February 2022.
Although bosses are yet to reveal the name of the operator, Amazon has been rumoured and has long been linked with Ashford after a leaked ABC document in 2014 seemed to confirm it was coming to the town. ....

We’ve been quiet about Brexit because so many things have been happening on other fronts, and truth be told, because reporting has been thin. That isn’t necessarily due to a lack of newsworthy developments but that getting a good picture would involve things like interviewing haulers and farmers or at least their trade associations, and that means developing new sources, which equals work. But even adverse outcomes for the City are getting surprisingly little notice. Some of that may be Brexit fatigue.
