Elex Stewart, a retired Alameda County auto mechanic, passed away on Friday April 28. He was 100 years old. Stewart was born on Sept. 25, 1922, in Port Hudson, La., the second of the nine children his parents, Eddie and Mary Stewart, brought into the world.
