WALLINGFORD, CT Wallingford Superintendent of Schools Salvatore Menzo is leaving after 12 years with the district.
Menzo announced Friday with mixed emotions that he has accepted the position of Superintendent of Goodwin University Magnet Schools effective July 1. This decision was not an easy one; however, this is an opportunity that will allow me to continue to grow personally and professionally, Menzo wrote in a message to the school community. Over the last twelve years in Wallingford, I was blessed to work with so many talented students and staff. Together, we transformed many aspects of the district to provide incredible learning experiences. In doing so, we generated innovation and increased the capacity in each other to ensure we were meeting the needs of all students in an equitable manner.
